Sapa - Catcat - SinChai - Giang TaChai tour

• Two days trekking from the centre of spectacular Muong Hoa valley up and down hills you will challenge your feet with hard trekking while enjoying beauty of nature, meeting and making acquaintance to tribal peoples from different ethnic groups to enrich your knowledge with different culture and way of life.

 

Day 1 : Hanoi - Laocai

• 20: 00 pm - Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi railway station for boarding the Express Train to Laocai. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper wooden cabin.

Day 2 : Laocai - Catcat - SinChai (4 hours trekking, 12 km, 2 villages ) ( B/L/D )

• 6:00 am - Arrive at Laocai train station. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel. Have breakfast and a shower. Trek around 12 km to visit two villages of the Black H'mong (Catcat and SinChai). Enjoy a picnic lunch by a waterfall and see the hydroelectric power station established by the French. Jeep from Catcat back to Sapa at around 4pm.

Day 3 : Sapa - Giang TaChai - Sapa ( 5 hours trekking, 17 km, 3 villages ) (B/L/D)

• Breakfast at the hotel. Head for the valley by jeep to visit two villages of the H'mong and the Dzay. Picnic lunch en route or with a local family. Visit the Red Dzao in GiangTaChai village, stopping off to see a picturesque waterfall and suspension bridge. Walk up to the road and take the jeep back to Sapa.


• Dinner at a local restaurant.


• Transfer to Laocai train station for boarding the Express to Hanoi (20:15 - 5:00).


• End of services.

You also have chance to experience peoples and especially their hospitality while staying one night in their homes.


• Beautiful and colorful Tuesday Market of the hill tribal peoples living around Coc Ly Commune and the northern region of Bac Ha District with festival atmosphere. Magnificient and stunning landscapes of the mountainous region in the far-north and Chay River Massif.

Get started: ( Saturday ) Hanoi - Laocai

• 20: 00 pm - Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi railway station to board the express train to Laocai.


• Overnight in an air - conditioned soft sleeper cabin.

Day 1: (Sunday) Sapa - Laochai Village - TaVan Village ( B/ L / D )

• 6 : 00 am - Arrive at Laocai railway station. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel in Sapa for breakfast and a shower. Leave Sapa at 10am by jeep to visit an H'mong village nestling in a beautiful valley and a hydroelectric power station built by the French. Follow a small path to visit 2 other villages of the H'mong and the Dzay people (LaoChai and TaVan). Picnic lunch en route.


• Dinner with a Dzay family.


• Overnight in TaVan village. (5 hours trekking, 14 km, 3 villages).


• Homestay arrangement in Tavan vilage

Day 2: (Monday) TaVan Village - Giang Ta Chai Village -Sapa ( B / L / D )

• Breakfast at the homestay, then take the road to GiangTaChai village to see the Red Dzao people via a network of paths through terraces and bamboo forests. Visit a picturesque waterfall and a suspension bridge. Enjoy a picnic lunch and cross the river to visit an H'mong village on the mountainside. Return to Sapa by jeep. Visit an ancient stone circle. Check into hotel.

• Overnight in Sapa (5 hours trekking, 4 km, 2 villages)

Day 3: (Tuesday) Sapa - CocLy Market - Boat Trip o­n Chay River ( B/ L / D )

• Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at 7am for CocLy market which is situated far from Sapa. Experience the peaceful life of the different ethnic tribes (Flower H'mong, Black Dzao, Tay, Dzay).  The market gives them the chance to meet and share their joys and sorrows after the harvest. Bid farewell to the market and take an exhilarating boat trip along the Chay River, where you are bound to feel a sense of your own minuteness against the majestic backdrop of the high Rock Mountains and to be stunned by the breathtaking waterfalls. Visit TrungDo village of the Tay Minority. After the boat trip, visit a small town called BaoNhai, then return by jeep to Laocai station to board the night train to Hanoi.
